Factory vehicle gate management: parking, access control, and audit

For many factories in Vietnam, vehicle gates sit at the intersection of security, operations, logistics, and workforce management. Staff cars, contractor vehicles, delivery trucks, containers, visitors, service teams, and internal vehicles may all use the same gates or yards.

Start with vehicle groups and purpose

• Employee vehicles with long-term permissions by person, department, shift, parking zone, or allowed gate

• Delivery trucks or containers with permissions by delivery order, time window, lane, loading zone, and warehouse confirmation
• Visitor or partner vehicles with short access tied to an appointment, host, and approved stopping area

Gate access should be time-boxed and zone-aware

A valid vehicle permission should define the vehicle, related person or company, allowed gate or lane, valid time window, approved zone, internal sponsor, and automatic expiry. A logistics gate, employee gate, contractor gate, and restricted yard should not share one broad default rule.

Keep contractors and deliveries separate from employee parking

Contractors and delivery teams create many exceptions. They may need fast entry, but each entry should still carry purpose, destination, validity, sponsor, and event history. Temporary vehicle rights should expire when the job, appointment, or delivery order ends.

Link gate events with video and audit

• Repeated denials at the same gate
• Contractor vehicles entering outside approved hours or zones
• Delivery vehicles arriving at the wrong gate or schedule
• Manual barrier opening by a guard
• Mismatch between plate, driver, or vehicle record
• Events around warehouses, restricted yards, or logistics gates

Vehicle gates should not stop completely because the network is unstable. Valid permissions should be synchronized to gate devices; devices decide locally; the server synchronizes policies and aggregates events for reporting, audit, and investigation.
